Thanksgiving Feast
After studying about now and long ago and Thanksgiving the last two weeks we celebrated with a Thanksgiving Feast on Monday, November 21st.   All of Kindergarten gather for the feast, each class bringing different items for the feast.  Students dressed up as Pilgrims and Native Americans as we reenacted this historical event.

Pumpkin Patch
On Monday October 31st we got to go to the pumkin patch.  We learned about different types of pumpkins, honeybees, corn, and gourds.  We also learned about how people lived a long time ago and how they made their own toys.

Wild Rumpus
On Friday, October 28th we had a Wild Rumpus to conclude our study of the book Where the Wild Things Are by Maurice Sendak.  Please click on the link under discussions called Wild Rumpus to view a video of all the wild rumpusing!

Applesauce
To celebrate all we learned about apples.  We made applesauce as a class with the apples all the students brought.  There were so many apples that Mrs. Hobbs made a special treat for the Honeybees, Apple-Butterscotch Brownies, YUM!

Apple Graph
During our study on apples we talked about how apples grow and Johnny Appleseed.  We read books about apples, painted with apples and graphed our favorite apples.  We are so lucky that so many people brought in apples!
